Overview:
We’re looking for a mid–senior level Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer who can design, build, and optimize marketing automation solutions while also contributing to front‑end email development. This long‑term contract role requires someone who is hands‑on, technically strong, and comfortable working directly with clients to translate requirements into scalable, high‑quality solutions. 100% remote but must be comfortable working East Coast hours.
Duties:
Core Development & Platform Work — 65%
- Build and maintain automations, segmentation logic, data extensions, and data management processes.
- Develop and optimize Journey Builder workflows and multi‑step customer journeys.
- Perform platform administration, including configuration, user management, and environment maintenance.
- Write and maintain SQL queries, AMPscript, and SSJS to support personalization and data processing.
- Implement and troubleshoot integrations with Salesforce core or external systems.
Front‑End Email Development — 35%
- Develop responsive, accessible HTML/CSS email templates and modular content blocks.
- Ensure cross‑client rendering consistency and QA across major email clients and devices.
- Collaborate with creative teams to translate designs into high‑quality, production‑ready email assets.
- 3–7 years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in Automation Studio, Journey Builder, SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, and data modeling.
- Solid front‑end skills: HTML, CSS, responsive email development, and familiarity with email client quirks.
- Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and provide technical guidance.
- Ability to balance architectural thinking with day‑to‑day execution.
- Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Developer, etc.) are a plus.
